Snow Cricket in Spain

Whitchurch vs Spain, 2008

Whitchurch opening batsman faces Lahoz's opening snow cricket delivery, March 2008A small touring party took on the might of Spain in the Pyrenean village of Cerler in both red and white-ball forms of snow cricket.

Unfortunatley for Whitchurch, due to a seriously depleted touring party, Jim Power opened both bowling and batting.

Fortunately for Whitchurch's honour, however, the white ball game was abandoned after the ball disintegrated in a freak middle-of-the-bat incident. The red-ball game also had to be abandoned when an agricultural shot from the Spanish opener, Lahoz, got lost in a snowdrift.

The fate of the 2009 tour hangs in the balance.
